Due to our continued success and cultivating of exsisting customer base we are currently looking for more staff to work out of our Woking office. These staff will need to be Technical Support Engineers of 1st and 2nd line support.

In line with this planned expansion, the company is creating an additional position of Ist/2nd Line Support and Field Engineer. For this role it is essential the successful candidate has worked in an IT / Help Desk position supporting business customers or in a Technical Customer Service role. You will have experience of fixing problems remotely and of Microsoft server products including Exchange server, networking and TCPIP, all windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft applications.
The ideal living location for this position is within commuting distance of their offices in Woking.

This is a mixed and varied Customer / Technical Support role involving total responsibility for providing support to our customers.

You must also possess very strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. If you have any experience of SQL this will be an advantage. You will be well presented with a flexible positive attitude and have good, proactive problem solving skills. The role would suit a keen, hardworking motivated candidate who wants to further develop their IT career within a dynamic, growing and ambitious company.

The ideal Technical Support Engineer will have a couple of years experience providing IT support in a commercial environment. A solid problem solver, who's keen on progressing a career within IT Infrastructure.

Role & Responsibilities

* Provide support to all clients including configuring and supporting desktop and network operating systems.
* Creating new user accounts, resetting passwords and managing group permissions.
* Create and manage emails accounts
* Troubleshooting network and internet issues.
* Troubleshooting printers and mobile devices.
* Support Windows platforms, Active Directory and applications (Windows 200/XP, MS Office, Exchange Mailbox administration) and other applications such as antivirus and email applications;
* Log all calls using the IT Helpdesk System and ensure all issues are resolved in the agreed times scales.
* Ensuring that all departmental procedures and documentation are maintained;
* To ensure that established processes and procedures are followed.

Key Skills:

* 1 to 3 years experience of providing IT Support in a commercial environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting Microsoft software (Office, Exchange, Active Directory, Server etc)
* Formal IT qualification, ideally MCSE/MCITP or multiple MCPs
