Unigold, an IT Support and consultancy, announces a milestone achievement

ISO 9001:2000

Quality Management Systems standards and guidelines,. Unigold has achieved the ISO9001:2000 accreditation from (QMS). ISO 9001 is accepted worldwide as the inclusive international standard that defines quality. Unigold underwent a stringent evaluation process that included quality management system development, documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances. All of which worked to identify corrective actions that eliminated non-conformance to the quality management standard. The process culminated in a comprehensive registration audit by (QMS). After correction and closure of all non-conformances, Unigold received both ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 14001:2004 certificates of registration on May 16th, 2008. The certification of compliance with ISO 9001:2000 recognizes that the policies, practices and procedures of our company ensure consistent quality in the services we provide our customers. With this certification, our customers can be confident that Unigold is dedicated to maintaining the highest effectiveness and responsiveness in achieving our goal of total customer satisfaction.

ISO 14001:2004

Unigold 2000 Ltd, market leaders in the IT Support and Consultancy industry, has announced that their Environmental Management System has been formally accredited in meeting the requirements of the International Standard ISO 14001:2004.

Unigold has worked hard to develop and implement systems to reduce emissions affecting climate change, and to segregate different wastes to maximise recycling and minimise landfill. Unigold has also ensured that they have ongoing compliance with new and existing environmental legislation such as the Producer Responsibility (Packaging Waste) Directive and also the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive through membership of compliance schemes in the UK and Ireland.

The purpose of the International Standard ISO 14001:2004 is to enable an organization of any size or type to:

- identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services

- improve its environmental performance continually

- implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, to achieving these and to demonstrating that they have been achieved.

According to the International Organization for Standardisation, “The ISO 14001:2004 is applicable to any organization that wishes to establish, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system, to assure itself of conformity with its stated environmental policy, and to demonstrate conformity with ISO 14001:2004″
