Unigold 2000 Ltd has been awarded the ISO 27001 Information Security accreditation in a move acknowledging the growing importance placed by clients and consumers on data security.

ISO 27001 is the only recognised international standard that defines and audits the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The standard required Unigold to implement, monitor and achieve a high level of security across a range of key requirements. Unigold undertook the certification in order to protect customer information assets, an ever-increasing area of focus and concern for many clients.

The standard means that clients can be assured of Unigold’s dedication to an accredited approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and continuously improving ISMS across the board.

The six-stage certification process includes a gap analysis to identify areas of potential security risk or vulnerability, followed by a two-part audit that assesses not only key policy compliance, but also the effective implementation and operation of security systems. Regular follow-up reviews ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the certificate.
